Financial Analyst

Financial Analysts at Grais & Ellsworth assist attorneys in preparing lawsuits on behalf of purchasers of residential mortgage-backed securities and researching corporate and financial topics in other litigation-related matters. Analysts review the financial and documentary aspects of bond offerings and help to quantify damages. They also help in preparing complaints; analyzing clients’ bonds, losses, and ratings downgrades; analyzing adversaries’ financial documents produced in discovery; doing basic research; and managing documents.

Applicants should have a strong undergraduate background, one or more years of experience at a major bank, preferably in the fixed-income area, and an interest in securities litigation. Applicants must have a solid understanding of the securities industry and be experienced in the use of Bloomberg, Excel, Access, and Word. Applicants should include in their cover letter why they have an interest in working at a small litigation firm such as ours.
